A meeting with Bagel District in Hodeida province on Wednesday discussed Red Cross interventions at Al-Mahwari hospital in Bagel.

The meeting, which included the Director of the District, Abdel Moneim Al-Rifai, the head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross, “Ashot Estabatsian” and his deputy, “David Montes”, and the director of Bajel Al-Mahwari Hospital, Dr. Arafat Al-Seraji, reviewed the plan to support the improvement of health and treatment services in the hospital.

The director of the district appreciated the interventions of the Cross in supporting the expansion of the hospital and raising the level of medical and treatment services it provides, noting the role of the hospital in receiving cases from the neighboring districts and the provinces of Rayma and Al-Mahweet.

For his part, the vice president of the ICRC praised the role of the leadership of the local authority and the hospital administration in the success of the Red Cross interventions, stressing the mission’s commitment to providing optimal support.

In the meeting, which was attended by the deputy head of the sub-mission in Hodeidah, Muhammad Qasim, and the hospital project manager, “Kim Assunta”, the hospital director reviewed the needs that would enhance medical and treatment services for patients.
