Kinshasa: The Democratic Republic of the Congo announced Friday that it has identified 1,028 suspected cases of Ebola, rising from 906 cases reported the previous day. DRC Minister of Health, Samuel Roger Kamba, stated that the number of laboratory-confirmed cases has reached 225.
According to Emirates News Agency, this increase in suspected cases highlights the ongoing challenge the DRC faces in controlling the Ebola outbreak. The health authorities are intensifying their efforts to manage the situation and prevent further spread of the virus.
The rise in suspected and confirmed cases has prompted the DRC government to enhance surveillance and response measures. These include deploying additional healthcare workers to affected areas and increasing public awareness campaigns to educate citizens about preventive measures.
The World Health Organization and other international partners continue to assist the DRC in combating the outbreak. Collaborative efforts aim to contain the spread of Ebola and provide necessary medical support to those affected.
