Amman: The Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) 2024, organized by the British Royal Academy of Engineering, in collaboration with the Higher Council for Science and Technology’s (HCST) Industrial Scientific Research and Development Fund, concluded on Sunday in London.
According to a HCST statement, the LIF program focused on enhancing the participants’ technical, administrative, financial, and marketing skills, who were trained to draw investor interest through specialized presentations, create investment opportunities for their projects, and facilitate networking with specialists, experts, and researchers to help establish their companies.
HCST’s Secretary-General, Mashhour Rifai, congratulated the participants on completing the program, emphasizing the council’s ongoing support to transform their ideas into “marketable” products that bolster the national economy.
Meanwhile, the fund’s director, Rima Ras, said the LIF serves as a platform to refine participants’ skills and expand their knowledge in te
chnological entrepreneurship, voicing the fund’s commitment to prepare technological entrepreneurs and facilitate their entry into the labor market and entrepreneurship world.
The Fund supports joint research projects between universities, scientific centers, and industries to improve products, production efficiency, and local technology, which enhance competitiveness of the Kingdom’s industrial sector through various development programs.
