President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, Dr. Muhammad Al-Jasser, has participated in a high-level roundtable meeting entitled “The Fund for the Future” on the sidelines of the 122nd meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee, held Thursday in Doha, Qatar, in the presence of the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva.
The discussions focused on strategies for sustainable financing, stimulating economic growth, supporting innovation in financial development, and fostering knowledge exchange.
During his speech at the meeting, Dr. Al-Jasser commended the International Monetary Fund’s efforts in adapting and responding to frequent economic shocks and structural challenges, as well as its cooperation in further developing sukuk markets, and the critical role played by the IMF in building a reliable framework for the macroeconomy and finance.
