Amman: A 50-truck humanitarian aid convoy crossed from Jordan Thursday heading to the Gaza Strip, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) said.

According to a JHCO statement, the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army in partnership with the World Food Program (WFP) sent the fresh relief supplies.

The statement added that the convoy included basic food packs, kid-friendly meals, consumables, medical supplies, and medications that will be given out by affiliated companies and organizations in Gaza.

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli said Jordanian efforts are still in place to provide and deliver various forms of humanitarian help to the Gaza Strip.

He said a total of 2,424 aid trucks have entered Gaza along with 53 relief aircraft via Al-Arish Airport.
