He added that the Jordanian Consulate General team in Makkah is still providing consular services to the pilgrims who were found and following up on their health conditions with the competent Saudi authorities, as 67 emergency travel documents were issued to Jordanian citizens and 16 consular certificates for temporary passport holders.
He said that the search operations are still ongoing for one pilgrim who is still missing, with joint efforts from the team formed by the ministry, which works around the clock in coordination with the Jordanian Consulate General in Jeddah, the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh, the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs mission for Hajj, and with the competent Saudi authorities.
Al-Qudah expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the deceased pilgrims.
The Jordanian official renewed his thanks to the competent Saudi authorities for the assistance provided to the Jordanian Consulate General team in Makkah, providing the necessary medical care and assistance in identifying the bodies, and facilitating the burial procedures.
