Occupation Forces Detain 8 Palestinians North of Ramallah

Israeli occupation forces detained eight Palestinians at the Ein Siniya military checkpoint set up on citizens’ land north of Ramallah.

Security sources said that the Israeli forces detained eight young men, whose identities have not been disclosed, while they were passing through the Ein Siniya military checkpoint.

The sources said that an Israeli military unit raided the vicinity of the Jalazone camp to the north and stationed on the main road adjacent to the camp entrance.

The Israeli forces also closed the main road near the Ofra settlement, which is built on the lands of Silwad and Ein Yabrud villages. According to security sources, the road was closed to provide protection for settlers who had gathered in the area, preventing citizens from passing through.

Additionally, the sources noted that the Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to Turmus Ayya town in the northeast of the governorate, checking citizens’ IDs and inspecting their vehicles, with no arrests reported.
