‘Providing attractive environment for media talents contributes to achieving UAE Vision 2071’: Abdulla Al Hamed


AJMAN: Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, during his visit to the Ajman Independent Studios, emphasised the historical significance of these studios, as they were opened by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, over four decades ago, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman.

Sheikh Abdulla praised the efforts of Ajman Independent Studios in conveying the message of the UAE to the world and their role in developing the Arab drama industry, appreciating the efforts of Abdulla Al Murad, Founder and Chairman of the Studios in establishing them.

He emphasised the importance of these studios in nurturing and enhancing the drama and television industry in the country, with their integrated infrastructure and capabilities, producing works that are part of the UAE’s media memory.

Sheikh Abdulla noted that Ajman Independent Studios today represent a compre
hensive media city, offering advanced services for media production and hosting multilingual radio and television stations, which bolsters their role in cementing the UAE’s position as a leading regional centre for media content production.

At the conclusion of his visit, he drew attention to the significance of continuing to developing Ajman Independent Studios and enhancing their role in the UAE media industry by adopting the latest technologies and providing an attractive environment for media talents, which contributes to achieving the ‘UAE Vision 2071’ and reinforcing its position as a global media hub.

The tour was attended by members of the Board of Directors of the UAE Media Council, including Sheikh Abdullah bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Director of Ras Al Khaimah Ruler’s Court; Saeed Mohammad Al Eter, Assistant Minister for Strategic Projects at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and Chair of the UAE Government Media Office; Maryam Eid AlMheiri, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office (ADGM
O); Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director-General of the Government of Dubai Media Office; Nasser Muhammed Al Yamahi, Director-General of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority; Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matroushi, Secretary-General of Ajman’s Executive Council; Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary-General of the UAE Media Council; and Maitha Majed Al Suwaidi, CEO of Strategy and Media Policy and Secretary of the UAE Media Council Board of Directors.
