The investigation procedures carried out by the Economic Crimes Prosecution have accused three expatriates of fraud in food products, as these products were expired and of unknown origin and were stored improperly. The investigation procedures revealed that the accused suspects displayed and stored more than 55 tons of poultry of unknown origin. They changed the packaging and placed false labels on them, including incorrect production dates and locations. The accused have been detained and referred to the criminal court, demanding their prescribed penalties according to the anti-commercial fraud and commercial data bylaws.
The Public Prosecution stressed that it will not tolerate demanding strict legal penalties against anyone who dares to commit such criminal acts that harm human health.
