Golf Saudi has officially announced the countdown to the final round of the 2024 Aramco Team Championship, presented by the Public Investment Fund, set to take place at Riyadh Golf Club from October 31 to November 2, 2024.
The tournament will see top international players competing for glory in one of the most prestigious events in women’s golf. Former champions Alison Lee and Patty Tavatanakit will return, with Lee aiming to defend her title following her historic victory last year. Lee shot a record-breaking 65 in the final round of the 2023 tournament, setting a new 54-hole record on the Ladies European Tour.
‘I’m thrilled to be back in Riyadh,’ Lee said. ‘Winning here last year was a major highlight of my career, and I can’t wait to come back with the same energy and focus to defend my title”.
Thailand’s Patty Tavatanakit, currently ranked No. 16 in the world, is also making her return to Riyadh after clinching victory at the Saudi Ladies International earlier this year, held on the same course.
The A
ramco Team Championship is renowned as one of the premier events in world golf, with a $5 million prize fund. It features teams of three professionals and one amateur, adding to its unique team format. The series has already seen international winners at previous stops in Tampa, Korea, London, and Shenzhen, with champions including Ireland’s Leona Maguire, Korea’s Hyo-Joo Kim, and Germany’s Alexandra Försterling.
As the final stop on the 2024 season, the Riyadh tournament promises to bring the excitement and competitive spirit of world-class golf to the Saudi capital.
