Saudi Health Council to Participate in Largest Global Health Event of This Year

The Saudi Health Council will participate in the 7th Global Health Exhibition, which will this year take place from October 21 to 23 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh, under the theme “Invest in Health.”

The council will be present with the interactive Innovation Zone, which will present key indicators concerning the health system, public health, and digital health. It will also showcase the various national programs and projects aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of health services and facilitating access to them through the digitization of the health sector.

Among them, the National Digital Health Maturity Assessment of health facilities across the Kingdom, medical coding and standards to unify terminologies, codes, standards for diagnoses, procedures, operations in the health sector, and electronic issuance of medical leaves.

The council will also highlight the Pharmaceutical Dictionary System for standardizing and coding medication in Saudi Arabia, the
national electronic tool for calculating cardiovascular disease risk factors, and the statistical system for diabetes centers (Sanadak), to collect data on the distribution of diabetes centers and essential health resources.

It will also showcase the health policymakers’ guide aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare services.

The council will also present several health projects supporting efforts to combat cancer, including the interactive platform of the Saudi Cancer Registry for publishing reports and the cloud-based Saudi Cancer Registry (SaudiCAN) for recording diagnosed cancer cases across the Kingdom.

The Saudi Health Council is also scheduled to sign 17 memoranda of understanding with various entities during the event, further advancing efforts to develop healthcare and achieve the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program.

This significant health event will feature over 500 speakers, more than 1,200 exhibitors from 70 countries, and over 100 panel discussions focusing
on the future of healthcare, digital health technologies, and healthcare systems. It will gather a distinguished group of experts and attract diverse healthcare sectors, along with a large number of interested visitors, and health and investment specialists.
