SEDD Majlis reviews opportunities, prospects for strengthening partnerships


The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) held a meeting for factory owners and investors from various sectors as part of its initiative, SEDD Majlis, at the main branch.

The meeting aimed to strengthen relations with investors, foster effective communication, enhance partnerships and integration with investors and business owners operating in the emirate, and discuss their proposals and development feedback that contribute to improving the investment environment and supporting the business sector.

This aligns with SEDD’s strategic plans to position the emirate as an attractive hub for business.

At the start of the meeting, Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman, commended the initiative for bringing together prominent investors to explore opportunities for cooperation between the Department and representatives from government and private sectors to provide top-tier services and keep them informed about relevant laws and regulations.

The meeting aimed to gather developmental feedback from in
vestors to help improve their companies, thereby enhancing Sharjah’s standing on the global economic map and advancing all sectors in the emirate in line with international quality standards and best practices. This would support and sustain the various economic sectors.

Commenting on the initiative, SEDD Chairman stated, the Economic Department in Sharjah focuses on maintaining effective communication with its strategic partners to develop the business environment and achieve sustainable development in line with international best practices. This is aimed at enhancing the emirate’s attractiveness, encouraging investment, and diversifying and expanding its economic base.

Furthermore, he highlighted that the Department is committed to providing an ideal environment for investment and business continuity, which encourages companies to grow their operations, attract more investments, and enhance the competitive business climate. He also pointed out that SEDD will continue to develop its services to strengthen
all economic sectors and collaborate with local and federal authorities to offer more services, addressing and overcoming any challenges faced by businesses.

Investors and company owners praised the meeting, expressing their commitment to playing an active role in driving the emirate’s economic progress and supporting the government’s efforts to activate the role of the private sector as a strategic partner in achieving comprehensive development. They also appreciated SEDD’s continuous support and efforts to enhance the private sector’s contribution to the growth of their diverse industries.
