Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, Minister of Education, and her delegation at Al Badi Palace on Wednesday morning. H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan praised the Ministry’s efforts to improve education and acknowledged the dedication of its staff in supporting schools, teachers, and students.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan emphasized the importance of using best global practices in education while safeguarding the unique identity of the nation and respecting Islamic, Arab values, and local customs. He noted the crucial role of schools in preserving these values for future generations.
H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan was briefed on the Ministry’s plans for the upcoming school year aimed at enhancing education quality. These include upgrading school infrastructure, updating teaching methods, and integrating new technologies. He also stressed the importance of supporting teachers to improve their effectiveness.
The briefing included the Ministry’s new initiatives for advancing the educational process and reinforcing schools’ role in shaping student personalities. The ongoing collaboration with local and federal entities to build a pioneering educational system was also discussed.
The Minister of Education expressed gratitude for the Ruler’s support and highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to equipping students with essential knowledge and skills in alignment with the UAE’s broader goals.
