The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) will host the Accounting Technologies Conference at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh from October 16 to 19, alongside the Accounting Solutions Hackathon 2.
The conference will be held under the theme ‘The Role of Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Advancing the Accounting Sector.’
SOCPA chief executive Ahmad Al-Meghames highlighted that the conference, as the first event of its kind, will delve into the latest technologies benefiting the accounting and auditing profession across four panel discussions and 18 specialized workshops, while projecting the future of the sector amid global technological progress.
Al-Meghames further emphasized that the conference forms part of a continuum of initiatives aimed at empowering and supporting accountants by aligning with cutting-edge technologies that enhance the accounting and financial landscape.

An accompanying exhibition will host 30 entities, encompassing governmental bodies, accounting firms, and accounting systems companies, allowing visitors a chance to engage with them and explore their offerings. Additionally, the exhibition will feature a designated area for professional consultations led by a distinguished cadre of experts.
Simultaneously, the Accounting Solutions Hackathon 2 will be held during the conference from October 17 to 19, involving 100 competing teams, 450 participants, 60 advisors, and 12 judges to evaluate the presented concepts.
