His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Khorfakkan (UFK), has reaffirmed the ongoing commitment to advancing the university’s development and establishing a prominent position within the academic landscape. This commitment encompasses the diverse and essential academic programmes, as well as scientific, research, skill, and social initiatives offered by the university.
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan commended the noteworthy achievements attained during the previous period, characterised by rapid advancements in the university’s journey. These advancements include the provision of a range of facilities and laboratories, alongside the enhancement of administrative and academic systems.
He made this statement while chairing the Khorfakkan University Board of Trustees meeting held at the university’s headquarters. His Highness emphasised the university’s significant role in fostering social interaction within the city an
d underscored the impact of its programmes and activities on the city’s scientific and cultural landscape, as well as its contribution to the promotion of values and social cohesion. The Ruler of Sharjah stressed the importance of creating an environment conducive to the holistic development of male and female students and emphasised the continual need to align university initiatives with the community’s needs while upholding its fundamental principles and fostering unity.
Sheikh Dr. Sultan approved the establishment of an integrated sports complex to accommodate various internal and external sports. Additionally, approval was given for the university’s budget for the upcoming year, along with the reports of the council’s committees, including the academic, financial, compliance, auditing, and financial resource development committees. He also issued directives for conducting standard comparisons of the university’s study plans with those of leading educational institutions, aimed at enhancing academic progr
ammes.
