Turkish FM expresses his solidarity with UAE, Saudi Arabia against terrorist Houthi attacks

The Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, has expressed his country’s solidarity with the UAE and Saudi Arabia over the terrorist Houthi attacks that targeted the two countries recently.

In his remarks on Monday during a press conference with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani, he said, “Unfortunately, the attacks that took place [Monday morning] were not the first. There were attacks on 17th and 24th January as well, targeting Abu Dhabi, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.”

“We strongly condemned these attacks. Again this morning, at late midnight, an attack did take place,” the Turkish minister added, noting that the attacks targeted civilians.

Regarding the developments in the region, he said that the conflicts in Yemen, Syria and Libya, as well as all the problems in the region and the Islamic world must be brought to a conclusion through political means. “Such terror attacks do not serve this end, on the contrary, [they] refuel the conflicts. We side with the friendly and brotherly countries.”
