Cairo: Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, conveyed the condolences and sympathy of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to His Eminence Dr Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, on the passing of his elder sister. Dr. Al Darei and the UAE delegation, who extended their condolences to His Eminence the Grand Imam in the Arab Republic of Egypt, expressed their heartfelt sympathies to him and the family of the deceased. They prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest her soul in Paradise and grant patience and solace to her family.

According to Emirates News Agency, the delegation accompanying Dr. Al-Darei included prominent figures such as Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities; Dr. Yousif Abdallah Alobaidli, Director General of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre; Dr. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, Senior Mufti, Director of the Ifta Department
at the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD), and member of the Muslim Council of Elders.
