The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on Sunday that it received reports of a commercial vessel involved in an accident 96 nautical miles southeast of the port of Nashtun, Yemen.
The incident resulted in an influx of water into the ship, forcing the master and crew to abandon the ship, the authority said in an X post, adding that the master and crew were recovered by an auxiliary ship.
Earlier, the authority reported another incident near the port of Hudaydah in Yemen, where it was reported that a ship was attacked by a drone, resulting in damage to the ship.
