The Ministry of Human Rights organized today in Sana’a a workshop on the importance of establishing a women’s litigation unit in the prosecution offices and courts.
The workshop discussed with the participation of the Republic Presidency representatives Office, the Prime Ministry, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Ministries of Justice, the Interior and Human Rights, the Office of the Attorney General, the courts, the National Committee for Women, the Yemeni Women’s Union, and a number of lawyers and media professionals, the importance of establishing a women’s litigation unit in the prosecutions and courts to provide services Legal guidance and legal aid for women.
The workshop aimed to highlight the contribution of international and national legislation in providing the necessary protection for litigating women.
He pointed to the importance of coming up with constructive outputs aimed at enabling women to obtain the rights guaranteed to them during litigation under justice and the rule of law.
Minister Al-Dailami noted the importance of working to activate the laws in force protecting women, coordinating with the Minister of Justice, the Attorney General to establish the Women Litigation Unit, encouraging courts and prosecutions to allocate offices for them in the prosecutions and courts.
