The International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition, which is being held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre in Malham, north of Riyadh city, from October 3 to 12, features workshops and discussions on falcon care and breeding.
Over 400 exhibitors from 45 countries participate in the event.
Visitors can attend 26 workshops and sessions held by speakers, trainers, investors, local, Arab, and international falconry researchers, which will provide enriching scientific content.
The scientific events at the exhibition feature best local and international practices in falconry, the most prominent initiatives and modern technical innovations, and the most important legislation and regulations related to falcon export and investment, and work to raise the community’s awareness about the environment and falcon hunting.
On the second day of the exhibition, a large number of visitors and guests interacted with the speakers, and at the workshop titled “Art as a bridge… documenting the legacy and future
of falconry”, Kazakh artist Yesengali Sadyrbaev talked about the symbolism of falconry and hunting as Arab cultural elements, highlighting creative perspective and historical and cultural influences.
French Falconer Philippe Hertel held the workshop titled “Sustainable falconry… huniting by falcons at airports: What are the possible problems?”. He reviewed ways of organizing airport yards in the field of sustainable falconry.
The Saudi Falcons Club aims to bolster initiatives that ensure the conservation of falcons, sustain the falconry hobby, and facilitate the exchange of expertise regarding investment in this domain through workshops, dialogue sessions, and specialized focus groups during the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition.
The club will address environmental sustainability, preservation of falconry, breeding and healthcare of falcons, innovation in falconry equipment, sustainable hunting practices, and the development of pertinent legislation and regulations.
