The Saudi Ministry of Education marks the World Teacher’s Day, observed every year on October 5, with a variety of activities.
The day, established by UNESCO in 1994, honors teachers worldwide and brings attention to the value of education.
In Saudi Arabia, colleges, universities, and public schools host a wide range of activities – exhibitions, lectures, seminars – that help consolidate the status of teachers as leaders in society, highlight their primary role of preparing students for the future, and use social media to underscore the significant role teachers play in the society and education in community development.
Teachers have a great impact that can transform the lives of others, contributing to a better future and self-realization.
The day is also an occasion to host a variety of activities in honor of this notable profession and implement strategies that encourage the educational system, societies in general, to recognize the contribution of teachers and work actively to support them.
